Some old records have come to light from Charles Linfoot back from the 1970's , which adds six new species to the overall Rudyard List now taking it to 187. If anybody has any old records of interest please get in touch , iam looking for 1960's , 1970's and 1980's. Species added include .

Apparently two pairs of Reed Warblers have reared young for the second year running.
Also a late record from August of a single Arctic Tern present for one day .

A couple of nice photos taken this morning by David Collis of a juvenile Sedge Warbler , a bird was heard singing on several of my visits . So this could be proof of breeding this year.
A very old record has just come to light of a Cetti's Warbler in December 1982 to February 1983 , which is obviously a first and brings the site total upto 181.
